Early days through the haze
I caught your eye
Later on is it all gone
No, I think we lie
'Cause all the things we've said
Rule my head
We are so in tune
Look in your mirror it's me
Be a fool break the rule
Positives attract and
Two the same can share a name
If we interact
'Cause you share all my views
I can't abuse
The trust you've put in me
Look in your mirror it's me
And although openly
You may not agree
But you are so like me
I'm falling in love with myself
I've got your eyes, not your thighs
Could I get by with mine?
And I love your mind, then I find
Mine is just the same
So if I can't have you
I'll make do
With your number two
Look in the mirror it's me
And although I love you
I think I love me too
And I am so like you
I'm falling in love with myself
I'm falling in love with myself
The Story of 'Falling In Love (With Myself)'
A play on words of course, but a double one in this case
A plea to my partner at the time to realise that we had a lot more in common than I thought she thought we did
But it was also a time when I was waking up to the real me and liking it so it was a celebration of that as well
